rapid hope gain : )

Hello, I have nothing to prove…

    Yesterday was amazing for many small reasons.  First of all, King’s “that place is still standing?” Skate for our field trip at work.  Remember when that was the place to BE back in the day?  So yeah, we took over that place and after helping about a bazillion children put on their skates it got way fun.  (the free lunch didn’t hurt either).  The second half of our field trip was Madagascar, and the best part of that was this boy literally dancing in the aisles during the credits.  THEN, shopping with *Eunice* (gotta love that girl) and her awesome friend Derek. (“I used to have a comb-over.  Well, it was a bowl-cut but I parted it on the side.”  “You know, they should sell bags of just the half-popped popcorn.  I always eat the regular kernels really fast so that I can savor the half-popped ones.”)  Eunice even thought I was worthy of the coveted second pair of sunglasses.  Let me tell you, we rocked those babies.  And finally, not one but TWO random packages of presents for no apparent reason, which involved pirates and dancing ipods, respectively.  It really doesn’t get any better.

    So I think I’m cursed/blessed to eternally like everyone else far more than they like me, just cuz I like people in general so damn much.  It’s always really little things that kill me, too, like someone reading a book on the bus or someone who has a large collection of spongebob watches.  Or yesterday, looking up from skating to see my friend surrounded by kids, doing the robot.  And I just thought, “wow, you’re AWESOME” because I think you really can get how a person is from small things like that.  Does anyone else do that?  Notice a stranger or even someone you know doing something really small but sweet and half fall in love with them for it?  Yeah, I figured it was just me.

Highlights of today included unnecessary nudity and an elephant tattoo.

    You don’t even know how insanely guilty I have felt this past week.  I’m just a confused little girl, take nothing personally.  Also, I think too much…I promise it’s hard for me too.

Me: “she’s too young to be worrying about calories.  I still don’t, actually.”

Ryan, age 9: “maybe you should start worrying about them.”

(Children are harsh)

{end rambling}

Hi. When are you back in Oregon? And do you happen to know a Kwaku up at Reed?

i HELLA feel you on that one.

(I'm referring to the seeing each other thing, but as for Ryan, he's so skinny he has to wear a wetsuit when we go to the pool, so i take nothing he says personally.) boo inflation and hooray for seeing all of the pores on batman's face!

I will definitely have a plethora of kiddie stories by the end of this weekend. Some will involve war paint.
